- Three genuine Lubing cups on one outlet — waters flocks of 18–24 birds from a single drum
- 100mm extension puts the drum outside the coop and the cups inside, so you refill without going in
- Passes through standard chicken wire, or a hole in a solid wall; the drum never has to come inside

- Cups refill themselves as the birds drink; Dine-A-Chook upgrade floats hold a higher water level
- Low-pressure gravity systems only — water surface no more than 35cm above the cups
- Fittings made in Australia with a 3-year warranty; German-made Lubing cups with 12 months
- Three Lubing cups for 18–24 birds
- 100mm extension — drum outside, cups inside, fill from outside
- Fits most 10–20L drums; Australian made fittings, 3-year warranty
Three drinking cups inside the coop. The drum outside, where you fill it.
A drum drinker is the easy way to water a flock: fill it once, and the cups top themselves up for days. The catch is that the drum lives in the coop, so every refill means going in with the hose or the bucket. This outlet moves the drum outside. A 100mm extension carries the water through the wall to three genuine Lubing cups on the inside, and you fill the drum from where you’re standing. Same cups, same floats and same fittings as the rest of the Dine-A-Chook drinker range, with the extension built in.
How the extension works
On a standard outlet the cups sit hard up against the drum. On this one a 100mm length of pipe sits between the drum thread and the cup bar. Stand the drum outside the coop, pass the outlet through the wire or through a hole in a solid wall, and the cup bar hangs on the inside with the three cups spaced along it. It fits through standard chicken wire without tools. The joints are Dine-A-Chook Click and Connect fittings, the same leak-free joint used on every drum drinker we build, and the drum end is a 3/4” male BSP thread.
Why three cups?
One Lubing cup comfortably serves 6–8 hens, so three cups suit flocks of 18–24 birds. The cups set how many birds can drink at once; the drum sets how often you refill. Three drinking points also take the pressure off the bottom of the pecking order, because there’s always a free cup. Smaller flock? The Double Outlet with Extension suits 12–16 birds and the Single Outlet with Extension suits 6–8.
What you need to add
A drum. The outlet screws into the Dine-A-Chook 20L black drum, or into any 10, 15 or 20L food-grade plastic drum with a 3/4” BSP bung. Pick an opaque drum: sunlight through clear plastic grows algae in the water, which is why ours is black. On some drums you’ll need to drill the bung out first.
Height. Set the drum so the cups sit just below the eye level of your smallest bird. Bricks and crates work; the Drum Drinker Stand does the same job with an adjustable platform and no wobble.
Low-pressure systems only
Lubing cups are built for gravity drums. If the water surface sits more than 35cm above the cups, the float valve can’t hold the water back and the cups overflow. That’s physics, not a fault. Mains or tank-fed set-ups need a header tank to bring the pressure down; our Lubing Cup Guide covers it.
What’s in the box?
One Dine-A-Chook outlet frame with the 100mm extension, and three genuine German-made Lubing drinker cups with Dine-A-Chook upgrade floats, which let each cup fill a little higher before the valve closes so there’s always visible water. No drum, no stand.
Built in Australia, backed for three years
The outlet, extension and fittings are moulded in UV-resistant ASA here in Australia and carry a 3-year warranty. The Lubing cups are the same German-made cups used in commercial poultry sheds, with a 12-month warranty. Floats are the only part you’ll ever routinely replace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Mounting through the wall, drums, pressure and the questions we get asked about extension outlets.
How does the extension outlet mount through the coop wall?
Stand the drum outside the coop at cup height, then pass the outlet through the wire from the outside. The 100mm extension fits through standard chicken wire without tools. On a solid wall, cut a hole just larger than the pipe at the same height. The cup bar then hangs on the inside with the three cups along it, and the drum stays outside where you fill it.
How many chickens will three Lubing cups water?
One cup comfortably serves 6–8 hens, so three cups suit flocks of 18–24 birds. The cups set how many can drink at once; your drum size sets how often you refill. A 20L drum is the usual pairing for a flock this size.
Which drums does the triple outlet fit?
Any 10, 15 or 20L food-grade plastic drum with a 3/4” BSP bung, which is most drums sold for water. Choose an opaque drum, because sunlight through clear plastic grows algae in the water. The Dine-A-Chook 20L black drum is made for this outlet. On some drums you’ll need to drill the bung out before the outlet will screw in.
Can I run the triple outlet from mains water or a tank?
Not directly. Lubing cups are low-pressure by design: the water surface must sit no more than 35cm above the cups, or the float valve can’t hold the water back and the cups overflow. Mains or tank-fed systems need a header tank to bring the pressure down. Our Lubing Cup Guide explains the set-up.
How high should the cups sit inside the coop?
Just below the eye level of your smallest bird, so she drinks without stretching and can’t stand in the cup. Set the drum height outside to suit; a Drum Drinker Stand makes that adjustable, or a brick under a smaller bird inside the coop works too.
Will the extension joint leak?
The extension uses the same Click and Connect joint as every Dine-A-Chook drum drinker, and it doesn’t leak when the parts are pushed fully home. If you ever see a drip, check the joint is seated and the O-rings are clean, then work through the Lubing Cup Guide: most drips turn out to be head pressure over 35cm or an airlock in the drum, not the joint.
What warranty covers the triple outlet?
The Dine-A-Chook outlet, extension and fittings carry a 3-year warranty. The Lubing cups carry 12 months. Exclusions are colour fading, rodent damage, and cups used outside a low-pressure system or not installed as directed. Something not right? Ring 1800 103 326 in Queensland business hours.
