How to use bird netting to protect fruit trees
Securing your bird netting to your plants will provide the best protection against wildlife. Securing netting also prevents snags and protects wildlife from entanglement.
This 4 m x 25 m length of netting is designed for securing over row crops and berry trellises. It can be secured to the ground or over even a frame, trellis or support structure. Netting is also effective if you secure it to the trunk of the plant itself.
To do this, drape the netting over the trellis or frame to and secure it in place by using ties or clips.
Similarly, for row crops your should also secure the netting. To do this, fix or anchor the netting to the ground with the use of pegs or heavy lengths of wood. It is important to note that loose netting should never be left on the ground. Excess netting poses a threat to both domestic and also wild animals.
