Reasons why the Dine a Chook Twin Cup Chicken Drinker is better:
A main cause of disease in the chicken coop is contaminated water. If you use a trough or tray, chickens will walk in it and climb on it, meaning dirt, mud and faeces in the drinking water. This is the best way to spread parasites and disease in the chicken coop, making your chickens less healthy and less productive. Keeping water clean is one of the best things you can do to reduce disease in the chicken coop. With a Dine a Chook Drinker, water from the reservoir is completely protected from contamination and the Lubing Drinker Cups have been specifically designed to keep water clean, particularly from faeces contamination. All you have to do is rinse out the Drinker Cups whenever you fill the Drinker!
Wet floor litter and muddy puddles are a pain for chicken keepers. Wet coops get smelly and need constant cleaning and new bedding, or your chickens will be at risk of respiratory diseases and other health problems. Muddy puddles in the run are also annoying - your shoes get dirty, they attract insects to the chicken coop and they are a breeding ground for parasites. Fortunately, Dine a Chook Drinkers are leak-free and drip-free!
With years of research, the Dine a Chook was the first of its kind in the market and Aussie backyard farmers love it. We use ASA plastic which is better than PVC in the elements. It stops algae and mould growth in the water tank by blocking out UV. Many copies of Dine a Chook use a tube style drinker with either clear plastic or cheap PVC which will become brittle in the elements. ASA thermoplastic won't.
The German Lubing Cup is made by the German company Lubing, a world leader in poultry hydration. There is a reason why commercial chicken farmers use Lubing Drinker Cups and Nipples. Lubing Drinker Cups really do reduce spillage and prevent contamination of the drinking water, keeping chooks healthy. For backyard chicken keepers, we provide an upgraded Dine-a-Chook float that automatically fills the Drinker Cup, so your hens have more water available.
We also have a Single cup drinker as well as Chicken Feeder and Drinker packs to suit those with large flock sizes.

FAQ
Q. What is the Chicken Drinker made from?
A. Dine a Chook drinkers are made with ASA Industrial Plastic. This is stronger and more durable than PVC when exposed to the elements.
Q. Does the plastic release any chemicals into the water?
A. No, our Drinkers are BPA and chemical free so your hens only get fresh clean water.
Q. How much water does a hen drink a day?
A. An average hen will consume about 500 ml of water per day. But how much a hen drinks depends on breed, diet, weather and other factors. A large hen on a dry-feed only diet that doesn't free range could drink up to a 1 L per day in hot weather, so check Drinker levels regularly!
Q. Does the Drinker develop algae?
A. The Dine a Chook drinker is designed to block out UV so to reduce the growth of algae and mould.
Q. Do chickens need to press down on the float in the Drinker Cup?
A. No. If you install our upgraded float, the Lubing Cup will automatically fill with water without your hen pressing the float.
