Did You Swap the Float?
Your cup came with TWO floats:
1. Lubing fitted (factory) float
Yellow, pre-installed in cup = Low water level (commercial use)
2. Dine-A-Chook Upgrade Float
Colored, loose in sealed bag = Higher fill level (backyard chickens)
For backyard use, swap to the Dine-A-Chook Upgrade Float for more water in the cup.

Time for a Clean!
After 6+ months, lubing cups need cleaning. Sediment and mineral buildup prevents the valve from sealing properly.
Good news: They clean up like new! The stainless steel components last for years with proper maintenance.
Quick cleaning steps:
- Disassemble the cup
- Soak in white vinegar for 30 mins
- Scrub with soft brush
- Rinse and reassemble
