The Dine A Chook Automatic Chicken feeder is made to save you money and stop feed wastage instantly. Our Silo Inspired Feeding Bay prevents Chickens Thrashing as well as Raking their feed mix. Meaning almost zero feed wasted on the ground. To further help Chickens which selectively feed we recommend a Pellet Feed Mix. Scratch Feed Mix are the ones with all the colourful grains, corn etc. in them. Chickens develop selective feeding when using scratch mixes. Such behaviour stops them from getting the essential nutrients they require as they are only eating what they like. Pellet mixes give them less choice and more essential nutrients. Our Chicken feeder Bay uses both Horizontal and Vertical Paddle technology to prevent raking and wasted feed. This unique design makes our automatic chicken feeder one of the best poultry feeders on the market.
Featuring rear moulded mounting hooks, no screws or rivets, the design is easy to install in minutes. Plus all our Feeders come with our Free Dine A Chook Mounting Kit so you can Install your Chicken Feeder to Timber and Metal.

Rodent Resistant Chicken feeder:
The Dine A Chook Chicken Feeder together with a Good Coop Management Plan ensures your chicken coop will be about as Rodent Proof as you can get. The Rain Hood helps prevent rodents from getting to the feed from the top while the height from the Ground helps prevent them from coming up from the Ground. It also aids in stopping other pest birds and Wildlife. The Dine A Chook Automatic chicken feeder provides you with complete confidence that your chicken feed is only going to your hens.
Benefits of A Dine A Chook Feeder vs. Hanging or Treadle Feeder.
Hanging Feed Units: Rats are incredibly intelligent. Also, hanging feed units are not entirely Rat proof. In the case of a Hanging Feeder, it won't take Rats long to realise they can climb down the chain to get to the Feed. Also, many Hanging Feed Units fail to address the Rain meaning Feed can be open to getting wet.
Treadle Feeders: These are also not immune to Rats. Working as a team, Rats learn to stand on the step to open the Feeder and access the Feed. Treadle Feeding Units are also not ideal for poor weather when a Chicken opens the lid; rain gets in wetting the feed. Treadle feeders also use hinges, springs and other mechanisms that require maintaining. With Dine A Chook Chicken feeders have no moving parts. Giving you complete confidence of reliability for years.
Don't be fooled by advertising or marketing claims. There just is no 100% Rat Proof Feeder. What we can tell you based on customer feedback, the combination of a Dine A Chook Feeder as well as a Good Coop Management plan is a highly successful way of preventing Rat Infestations. Our waste reducing Feeder keeps food off the floor. If you keep the Coop clean tidy as well as clean, you shall all but eliminate Rats.
Super Easy Installation:

Since introducing these feeders to our girls, they refuse to eat out of the other brand existing feeders we already had!
Love the design, especially the snug lid with carry handle. Makes it easy to move once filled.
Love this little gadget, works a treat. At first my chickens showed NO interest and wouldn't eat from it, and I thought how the hell am I going to get them to stick there heads in to see the seed? So I started to put mince meat right on the opening. They go nuts for mince meat so they ran towards it. Then I started to lower the meat inside the container. Eventually the saw the seed inside and then worked it out it took a few days and now they all use it. The only draw back is young chicks can't reach in to feed. I'll be buying two more though.. young chicks don't stay little for long.
