Why Use a Vacuum Release Valve?
Without a vacuum release valve, negative pressure or airlocks can restrict water flow—especially when outlets are positioned lower than the water source. Installed at the system’s highest point, this valve allows air to enter and prevents syphoning or inconsistent flow.

It prevents negative pressure from building up inside your hydration line, which can cause water flow to slow or stop. By allowing air to enter at the system’s highest point, it prevents airlocks and ensures consistent water delivery.
Where should I install the vacuum valve kit?
Position it vertically at the highest point in your drinker line. It must be installed above the water source (tank, drum, or header) for proper operation. Use a cable tie to secure the valve in place.
Can I use this with gravity and mains pressure?
Yes. The valve works with both gravity-fed and pressurised systems. It’s particularly helpful when lines run long distances or drop significantly in height.
Do I need to seal the threads myself?
No. This kit comes pre-assembled with thread tape, ready to install out of the box.
