Key Features
  • Essential Hydration System Add-On: Prevents airlocks and vacuum in poultry drinker lines.
  • Ready to Install: Comes pre-assembled with thread tape—just attach and position.
  • ½" BSPT to 8 mm: Female connector adapts vacuum valve for seamless hose integration.
  • Low Maintenance: Improves water flow and reliability in both gravity and mains pressure systems.
  • Flexible Mounting: Can be cable-tied above the water line at the system's highest point.

This convenient kit combines the Tefen Vacuum Release Valve with the matching ½" BSPT Female Connector, pre-assembled and sealed for easy installation in poultry hydration systems. Designed to eliminate vacuum lock and maintain consistent water delivery, this solution is especially effective in long-line or elevated systems.

Why Use a Vacuum Release Valve?

Without a vacuum release valve, negative pressure or airlocks can restrict water flow—especially when outlets are positioned lower than the water source. Installed at the system’s highest point, this valve allows air to enter and prevents syphoning or inconsistent flow.

Quick and Secure Setup

The included female connector allows you to attach the valve directly to 8 mm tubing. Each kit is pre-wrapped with thread tape for a leak-free seal and is compatible with both gravity-fed and mains pressure systems.

What does a vacuum release valve do?

It prevents negative pressure from building up inside your hydration line, which can cause water flow to slow or stop. By allowing air to enter at the system’s highest point, it prevents airlocks and ensures consistent water delivery.

Where should I install the vacuum valve kit?

Position it vertically at the highest point in your drinker line. It must be installed above the water source (tank, drum, or header) for proper operation. Use a cable tie to secure the valve in place.

Can I use this with gravity and mains pressure?

Yes. The valve works with both gravity-fed and pressurised systems. It’s particularly helpful when lines run long distances or drop significantly in height.

Do I need to seal the threads myself?

No. This kit comes pre-assembled with thread tape, ready to install out of the box.
