Is this safe to use indoors?
Yes. It is ideal for indoor use and much safer than a traditional heat lamp. There are no exposed bulbs or fire risks, and it emits no artificial light.
Can this heat plate be used for ducks or other poultry?
Absolutely. It is suitable for chicks, ducklings, goslings, bantams, quail, and other young birds. Just adjust the leg height to suit the size of your poultry.
Does the top of the plate get hot?
No. The top stays cool to the touch to protect your birds and prevent injury, even if they jump onto the plate.
Will this affect the temperature in my brooder?
This plate provides radiant warmth underneath. It does not heat the entire brooder space, so ambient temperatures should remain above 10°C for effective use.
Should I use a cover with this heat plate?
