Commercial-quality Small Fruit Tree Netting 3m x 5m Heavy Duty

There is something quite rewarding in Growing Fruit at home. The excitement builds as your Mangos, Citrus or Apples come alive before your eyes. Equally, there is nothing more disappointing then coming out to see the fruit has been eaten.

Dine A Chook has developed a range of Commercial Quality Bird Netting that is made to protect your fruit. Made using Knitted Polyethylene it offers protection from Wildlife including Possums as well as Flying Foxes and Birds. The Material is also Wildlife Friendly so if an animal or bird becomes tangled it tends not to cut the animal like other forms of netting.

UV Treated it is designed to last for up to 10 years.  Also, it won't fray if cut.

Placing our Bird Netting is easy. Simply drape the rectangle of netting over the tree or shrub you wish to protect. It's that easy. You can also use it on a frame over a vegetable patch.

Small Fruit Tree Netting 3m Heavy Duty 42gsm details:

  • High quality, UV-resistant polyethylene

  • 16 mm mesh allows the passage of small pollinators like bees

  • Facilitates good ventilation

  • Sturdy enough to resist pest bird attack, but light enough not to damage soft fruits

  • Blends in with the foliage

  • 10 year guarantee

  • The knitted mesh is less likely to injure wildlife than extruded plastic netting

  • Easy to re-roll and store between use

  • Can be trimmed as needed without fraying

All orders processed and shipped the next business day after payment. Black fruit tree nets are available Australia wide. Fruit tree nets can also be shipped to New Zealand.

Using Your Fruit Tree Net

This fruit tree net is cut to size for trees and bushes smaller than 1 m in height. It may also be suitable for protecting up to 3 closely planted berry bushes or grape vines at a time.

To use the fruit tree net, drape over the tree or shrub you wish to protect. Netting is more effective, will last longer and is more wildlife-friendly if secured. You can secure your netting by:

  • Tying the netting to the base of the tree

  • Weighing down the netting edges

  • Securing the netting to a garden frame
