Australian Quality Assurance

At Dine a Chook, we are backyard chicken keepers too. It was only when spilled feed started to eat into the joy of keeping chooks that we decided to look for a better Chicken Feeder. We tried everything and, in frustration, we built our own. That prototype (well, prototype number 10 or 12) was so successful that we decided to share our design and reduce work for backyard chicken keepers everywhere. Like the original, our Chicken Feeders are still hand-built and tested for quality and strength. That's how we know that our Feeders really will provide a lifetime of hassle-free chicken keeping!

  1. Voted #1 feeders by our chickens & us

Posted by Karina on 6th Aug 2017

Since introducing these feeders to our girls, they refuse to eat out of the other brand existing feeders we already had!
Love the design, especially the snug lid with carry handle. Makes it easy to move once filled.

  2. Saving on seed, as Im not feeding the neighbourhood of birds

Posted by Dez on 2nd Feb 2013

Love this little gadget, works a treat. At first my chickens showed NO interest and wouldn't eat from it, and I thought how the hell am I going to get them to stick there heads in to see the seed? So I started to put mince meat right on the opening. They go nuts for mince meat so they ran towards it. Then I started to lower the meat inside the container. Eventually the saw the seed inside and then worked it out it took a few days and now they all use it. The only draw back is young chicks can't reach in to feed. I'll be buying two more though.. young chicks don't stay little for long.
