Why is a woven netting best?
Flowering and fruiting trees are extremely attractive to wildlife such as bats, birds and possums. Netting your trees is the best way to protect your crop, and a knitted polyethylene netting is the best choice in fruit tree netting.
Our knitted netting is UV treated to withstand the harsh Australian sun. The woven high density polyethylene ensures it is strong - even in hail and it long-lasting. Unlike knotted netting, our mesh will not fray and should not stretch.
Choose a 16mm aperture for pollination
While the aperture of our Commercial bird netting is small, it is large enough for bees and other pollinators to slip through. This size also allows for easy ventilation.
This aperture size is most preferred for agricultural use, with many fruit farms using this netting to protect their crop.
